Dolce & Gabbana have entered the world of canine couture with their latest release—Fefé. According to the Italian fashion house, the fragrance is inspired by Domenico Dolce and his partner Guilhermo Siqueira’s toy poodle, Fefé.

This fragrance features warm notes of ylang-ylang—an essential oil extracted from a yellow, star-shaped flower that springs up on the Cananga tree—with fresh musk and undertones of sandalwood. It is created by Master Perfume for Symrise, Emilie Coppermann, keeping in mind the sensitivity of pets and hence is formulated without any alcohol. She is also known for her past creations, such as Karl Lagerfeld’s Karl Ikonik Pour Homme and Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP Rose Elixir.

Approved by ethologists and veterinarians, this mist has the Safe Pet Cosmetics certification, meaning it meets the same rigorous standards as products made for humans. Fefé comes in a rectangular glass bottle, lacquered in green with a 24-carat gold-plated paw and a red metal cap. Every bottle of perfume is accompanied by a special dog collar, available in two sizes: XS/X and M/L, featuring a personalised tag that can be custom-engraved.

According to the instructions on the official Dolce & Gabbana website, you have to spray it on your hands or a brush, then gently rub or brush your dog’s fur from the middle of their body towards the tail for some fragrant pampering. You can also spritz it directly on their coat, just be sure to steer clear of their nose.

The new fragrance is available for purchase on the official website, where the brand offers shipping to India by DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), meaning that the applicable import and customs fees are included in the final product price.
