The Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition has just been introduced in India, with a starting price of INR 4.98 crore (ex-showroom). It’s built on the long-wheelbase model already available here, and customised by the brand’s SV division. What makes this launch special is that it’s the very first limited edition made specifically for India.

The special edition is limited to just 12 units, each with custom door sill plates showing its unique number, like 1 of 12. The SV division has given the exterior a black finish with a hint of red, while the grille, tailgate and even the 23-inch dark alloy wheels feature Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite accents, inspired by tiger stripes.

Inside, the cabin has a four-seat layout wrapped in Caraway and Perlino semi-aniline leather, complete with contrast stitching. The seats are embroidered with a design inspired by a tiger’s spine. To add a personal touch, there are customised scatter cushions, chrome accents, light wenge wood veneers and white ceramic dials, all of which set the Ranthambore Edition apart from the standard Range Rover SV.

Since it’s built on the SV model, rear passengers get fully reclinable seats, a powered table, deployable cupholders and a refrigerated compartment that comes with custom SV-etched glassware.

This special edition runs on the same 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine found in the Autobiography variant, delivering 400hp and 550Nm of torque. For reference, the Autobiography is priced at INR 2.6 crore (ex-showroom). The brand has also pledged to donate a portion of the sales from the Ranthambore Edition to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India.
